Unlocking the Future: Generative AI Workshop

The Sri Balaji College of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur, organised by the Computer Science & Engineering and Master of Computer Applications Departments conducted a thought-provoking and inspiring 3-Day Workshop on Generative AI. From February 6th to the 8th of 2025, the workshop gathered tech enthusiasts and experts to discuss developments in artificial intelligence on its forefront.

Day 1: Setting the Groundwork

Deepak Chawla addressed the workshop with an inspiring keynote speech as HiDEVS co-founder and CEO and also as a jury member of SIH 2024. His understanding of AI development coupled with industrial relevance was quite interesting for the audience. In the beginning of the workshop, individuals were taught basics of Generative AI based on its ability for text and image and video creation techniques. Hands-on sessions were used to teach individuals about AI model operations and machine learning basics by the workshop.

Day 2: Practical Learning and Experimentation

The day was marked with intense development activity as the topic for the second learning session. Participants engaged in interactive coding sessions that included learning deep learning platforms including TensorFlow and PyTorch. Experts walked participants through developing their own AI models that created text and images and presented them with instant exposure to AI development.

Workshops included; neural networks – students learned to train AI models that produce images and textual output and AI development ethics – training allowed students to test various datasets while learning about the significance of tuning models for better output.

Day 3: Advanced AI Applications and Industry Insights

The final session was utilised to depict how Generative AI is applied to actual applications. With several demonstration examples Deepak Chawla depicted how Artificial Intelligence revolutionised health care services and finance operations and content creation fields. All participants used AI-enabled solutions to build mini-projects and showcased final output.

The closing ceremony involved certificate awards to appreciate participants for dedication to the event.
